Dances with Bronies: Day 42 - Infection

It finally happened. After my never ending ranting about how great season two is finally convinced Faith to watch a bit more of the show with me. We watched the discord episodes and she genuinely enjoyed it. She wanted more. Even though Rainbow Dash annoys me, I had to show her the pets episode because she loves turtles and owls. Then she wanted some Cutie Mark Crusader episodes.

I am incredibly happy that I managed to sway her to my, well my new, way of thinking. This show brings so much raw happiness to me that I just want to share that with other people. I got her into Doctor Who, Parks and Rec and now My Little Pony. It’s what I do, I find something I like and I just want to share it with everyone I know. This one’s going to be a little harder, but it’s so worth it.

I regret not getting through this so much faster. It’s day 42 and this entry should have been at day 4. There has been this conversation going on everywhere that I couldn’t be a part of. I have a lot of catching up to do and I’m enjoying every second of it. I’m not even sure of why I was so cautious of watching the show in the first place.

Yes, this is a show intended for young girls, but what does that even mean? It’s not like this is a show to teach girls about their first period and how to take care of their bodies or something else that is supposed to be completely alienating to men. Regardless of who a show is intended for, if it is well written, directed and produced anyone can enjoy it.
